Техническият университет Варна
The Technical University of Varna (TUV) is the second largest Technical University in Bulgaria with about 7000 Bulgarian students and more than 200 international students tought in English. TUV includes 4 faculties, 2 colleges and 1 foreign language department. The academic staff consists of 140 professors and about 200 assistants. The research activities involve more than 300 PhD students. TUV is the first Bulgarian University accredited successfully by EUA (European University Association) and also the first implementing the quality management system. The university strategy includes intensive development and research in the fields of renewable energies and environmental protection, medical electronics, considering their importance within the present global context. E-learning related activities are among the preferences of TUV. TUV is the Coordinator institution of various national and international projects dedicated in that area. A modern up-to date ‘Distance and e-learning centre’ operates in TUV based on these projects and the training needs of the University and society. Totally there are about 15 international and 30 national projects running in TUV in the different research areas. There is a Centre for National and International projects in TUV dealing with all the aspects of applying and running the projects.
